"Living Language Dothraki: A Conversational Language Course" will be out on October 7th as a book and CD package, while a companion mobile app and an expanded online version with extra grammar and games will also be available.
Priced at $19.99, the standard book/CD set contains 200 vocab words, basic phrases, pronunciation and grammar guides, culture notes, 50 written exercise questions and more; the expanded online edition ($30) has all that, plus over hundreds more vocabulary words and phrases, plus an expanded pronunciation guide, new dialogues and interactive games. And to keep your Dothraki skills sharp on the go, the mobile app ($3.99) comes complete with various exercises and guides, plus 15 thematic flashcard decks.
You can get a sneak peak at the coursework with a sample lesson on adjectives, which arrives just in time for you to impress your friends during this weekend's Belmont Stakes by casually dropping a "Hrazef dik" ("The horse was fast") into conversation.
Peterson has been creating languages since 2000, and has worked on "Game of Thrones" since 2009. He's also created and consulted on alien languages for for Syfy's "Defiance" and "Dominion", and the CW's "Star-Crossed." He'll release a new book "The Art of Language Invention " in 2015.
